While no formal online code was located regarding an ice barrier, Tom Daniels, Planning & Zoning Director for Lancaster Township, PA confirmed it is required as follows, "Yes it is required on new buildings. It is recommended on existing buildings however Lancaster Twp. Does not enforce existing building roof replacements." (Per email dated 7/10/20.)
